Something for everyone

Something for everyone

Shiny and new!

Earlier this year, our oven stopped working. Our electrician told us that the cost of fixing it wouldn’t be much less than the cost of buying a new oven. So we took his advice and started shopping for a new oven. In the meantime, we bought a Halogen Oven to help us get by. The Halogen Oven is so good that it took us nearly two months to motivate ourselves to start shopping for a new oven. Finally last weekend we went shopping, and came home with a new hob as well as a new oven! We got them installed today, much to my delight. I made a roast chicken dinner this evening to test it out. Oh how I’ve missed full roast dinners!

But the new oven didn’t just make me happy. Little Man was pretty happy with the packaging that the oven arrived in. Who knew you could make such a great fort from styrofoam?!

  1. Nice looking oven! I’m confused though. Did you buy a Halogen Oven and then get rid of it for a new oven?

    🙂

    • The Halogen Oven is tiny. It’s a little worktop oven, about the size of a microwave. It is fine for cooking something small, but no good for big roast dinners!

  2. Who needs toys when you have packaging!!
!Looks like Little Man is having fun.

    • He sure was!
