Meet Bobby!

Today I met a new little man – one of my very best friends had a baby boy a few weeks ago, and I went to visit them today. Oh broodiness. There is just something so wonderful about a newborn. Many congratulations to you Laura, and to your family. I can tell already that you have a charmer on your hands – he certainly stole my heart today. Charlie had to have a stern talk with me this evening when I came home, all talk about how wonderful he was! (Don’t worry Charlie – I haven’t forgotten the sleepless nights – and I have a whole sleep section here to remind me if I start to forget!)

We’ve had a new addition to our own little family this week. Remember my revelation earlier this week when I realised that Little Man didn’t have any dolls in his toy selection, and vowed to remedy the situation. Well we went shopping yesterday, and came home with “Bobby”. Bobby is a “Special Welcome Baby”, available for €12.99 from Smyths toystore. He has a little hat, and a pair of dungarees that you can take on and off. And his dungarees have buckles, and a zip, and a button that you can fasten. He even has shoelaces to be tied.

We also picked up a little toddler sized buggy for €7.99, perfect for zooming Bobby around the house. I can see I’ll have my work cut out for me if I try to teach Little Man to push the buggy gently! So far, he seems to be using it as an assault weapon, trying to bash down nearby walls, doors, and people! But he has also shown some consideration for Bobby, by insisting that we cover him with a tea towel blanket when we went outside – just in case he gets cold in the buggy I suppose!
