If you’ve been visiting Mama.ie over the weekend, you may have noticed some changes in progress.
Say goodbye to the first Mama.ie theme
Much as I loved my original theme for the site, it was just proving too problematic. Pages were taking too long to load, and I just don’t have the patience to wait for them – so why should I expect you to wait! So it’s out with the old…
The new Mama.ie theme
And in with the new!
Now I know it’s not perfect yet. There are still a few pieces I need to figure out over the next few days, and I have a few posts to re-organise. But it will all be worth it in the end!
And I also have a lovely new logo – thanks Charlie!
Load times are still around 10 seconds for me at work. I tried in a few browsers as well. I think it loaded a bit faster at home though.
Also the image is missing from the About Me section.
Thanks Anthony. That’s strange because it is loading really quickly for me here and I’ve tested it on a few devices. Granted they were all on the same network.
The About Me logo has me stumped. I can’t figure out why it won’t display. I’ll have to do some research tonight and try to fix it.

I’m getting about 3 seconds load time at work and we’re similar at home, same as Friday with the default template. I don’t think you need to worry about the load time, the problem is with Anthonys work network.
