Mothercare My4
Before Little Man arrived, we spent months looking online and in the shops for a buggy that ticked all the boxes. We wanted one that could be used as a pram, a buggy, and take the car seat. It also needed to have proper tyres so that we could use it on the beach or on forest walks. And we didn’t want to have to take out a second mortgage for it!
The Mothercare My4 was the ideal choice for us. It was reasonably priced at €399. In pram mode, it was spacious and comfortable. We used it in pram mode until Little Man was almost 4 months old. During the day, he often slept in it downstairs or when we were out and about.
When we switched it to buggy mode, we used it rear-ward facing initially. If we were out and Little Man fell asleep, it was easy to recline the buggy fully flat. By undoing a couple of clasps, the buggy was quickly back in pram mode, and he could sleep soundly and comfortably.
This buggy is easy to manoeuvre, and I’ve often pushed it one handed when necessary without any problems.
There are some disadvantages to this buggy. For one, it can be difficult to dismantle when it’s in forward facing mode. There seems to be a knack to getting the seat to release from the frame when it’s forward facing.
Another disadvantage is how much space it takes up in the boot of the car.
But those are small complaints. Overall, this is an excellent buggy, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone.
