More baked goodies

Sometimes when it comes to entertaining a toddler with baking, easier is better! That’s why, today, when I promised Little Man, and his cousin that they could have some fun decorating buns, I decided to cheat a little and make the buns using an Odlums Quick Chocolate Cake Mix. I just had to add oil and water, mix it up and then it was ready to drop into the bun cases and pop in the oven. Much more manageable and with much less mess than baking from scratch when you’re trying to keep an eye on a toddler while mixing!

After just 15 minutes the buns were ready, so I iced them and then set Little Man and his cousin to work decorating them with jellies and fruit stars, and even a few chocolate sprinkles. Didn’t they do a good job?! Yum yum!
