Kids TV on Netflix
We finally did it. We cancelled our Sky package. So we are making do with the free to air channels and Netflix. It’s been four days since our Sky subscription ended and I must admit, I’ve hardly noticed.
I was a bit worried about losing all the kids TV channels. But cBeebies is still available and that has most of the cartoons that would be watched in this house on it. And for everything else, we have Netflix.
This week we’ve been watching Clifford the Big Red Dog, which launched on Netflix a couple of weeks ago on Valentine’s Day.
Another firm favourite at the moment is Monster Math Squad. Little Man has always loved numbers and he was instantly drawn to this show. During their adventures, helping with everything from baking to returning lost scooters to people, the monsters learn all about things like measuring and patterns.
Those two new shows together with some favourites from TV like Team Umizoomi and Bubble Guppies have meant that we haven’t been short of anything to watch when it comes to kids programming.
Disclosure
I am a member of the Netflix Stream Team. As part of this team, I received a subscription to Netflix and an Apple TV device with which to watch it. However I have not received any other compensation for writing this post and my opinions as always are my own.
We did this over a year ago… it’s quite possibly our best move!!!! No adverts, parent’s choices, I can monitor what my 4 year old watches on our tv via my smart phone Netflix app. Genius.
PS. Found this site because of the lovely feature ‘Mum’s the World’ in the Irish Examiner, congratulations! 🙂
