It’s back: Bavaria 0.0%
Woo hoo! Our local Dunnes Stores has started stocking Bavaria 0.0% non-alcoholic beer again. The closest thing I had to a craving while pregnant was my desire for a nice, cold beer. But there’s only so much Becks I can drink. It just leaves an aftertaste in my mouth that I can’t stand.
Last year I blogged about Bavaria 0.0%, explaining how I discovered it during my pregnancy and never looked back.
Then while I was breastfeeding, I always made sure to have a few bottles in the fridge – to help with milk supply you understand! (Apparently beer is great for increasing supply, but alcohol is not so good for milk! Seems non-alcoholic beer is the perfect solution.)
Since Little Man was born, we always keep a supply in the fridge. That way we can have a drink now and again and still know that Little Man is in safe hands!
But about four months ago, we suddenly discovered that we couldn’t get Bavaria anywhere. I was distraught! We asked our local supermarket if they could order it in, but they said no. And none of the local off-licenses stock it. So we went without.
Until this week that is, when we found it once more! Thank you Dunnes Stores! Is this their little gift for National Breastfeeding Week I wonder! 🙂
Completely agree, Bavaria 0% was the only half-decent beer I drank while I was pregnant!! Like Erdinger 0% as well, but bavaria is just nicer!
I like the Erdinger one too – but not as much. When we were abroad in the Canaries while I was pregnant, they had an non-alcoholic version of almost every beer, it was fantastic. I drank Cobra non-alcoholic beer in one place, and really liked it, but I haven’t seen it anywhere since.
