Going to the zoo, zoo, zoo
Yesterday was a beautiful day, as I mentioned – the type of day, you can’t help but make the most of. Once we had finished baking our Gingerbread Men, it seemed only fitting that we pack them into a picnic and go somewhere for the day. It’s been almost a year since we took Little Man to the zoo, and to be fair, he wasn’t that appreciative of it the last time we went – which isn’t that surprising as he was only six months old, and slept for half the visit.
Not so this time around though! We got there bright and early, before all the crowds arrived. There were a couple of people ahead of us in the queue, but within five minutes we had our tickets and were on our way in. The tickets were fairly pricey at €15 per adult. Children under 3 are free, but that still amounts to a €30 entry fee.
We brought the buggy with us, but Little Man wanted to be out and exploring – and who could blame him? Luckily we had trusty Lion to keep him close to us while he did his exploring. And there was plenty to explore!
And when we were finished looking at all the animals, we found a great little playground in the African Plains section. We had a hard time getting Little Man to leave. If he could talk, I have a feeling he would tell you that the playground was the highlight of his day, though the animals were nice too!
Great pictures Lisa. Looks like a great day out.
I have lots of pics of his first visit to the zoo!
