Fun with Spot on the iPad!

I’m not sure whether to review this as a book or as an app. Fun with Spot is a Lift-the-Flap book on the iPad. If you’re familiar with the Spot the Puppy books, then you’re familiar with this iPad book because the storyline is much the same as any other Spot book.

But as part of Penguin’s plan to reinvent books on the iPad, Fun with Spot is an excellent introduction to picture books on the iPad. It’s full of lovely little interactions on each page. Touch the tablecloth to lift it and find Spot hiding underneath. Touch the characters onscreen to watch them react.

This app is available here on iTunes. We’ve had it for a few weeks now and Little Man loves to read it and play with it regularly, so we highly recommend it to anyone with young children who are fans of Lift-the-Flap style books.
