Don’t try this at home

Mammy guilt strikes again. I am still too sick to be a good Mammy this week. The best I can manage is to keep Little Man fed and out of any serious trouble.

So mid-afternoon when I was really running out of steam, and I couldn’t justify another minute of Peppa Pig, I had an arts-n-crafts brainwave. I cut up loads of coloured bits of paper and took out the paper glue and a nice Christmas picture.

Then I put some glue on the back of each piece of paper and Little Man stuck them to the page. It was a lovely, peaceful, creative activity for all of about five minutes.

Then being stuck in the house all day started to get the better of Little Man. And he decided he had a much better idea for playing with those pieces of paper.

So in the end, instead of a nice low energy activity like I’d planned, I ended up crawling around picking up tiny little pieces of paper off the sitting room floor. Hmmm. Maybe I should have stuck with Peppa and ignored the guilty voice in my head.
