Another one down

Well it’s official. Little Man is now on two bottles a day instead of three. He’s been gradually reducing the amount of milk he takes in his afternoon bottle for the past couple of weeks. And then this week he started refusing it. He refused it once from us, and he refused it every day bar one in the past week from the crèche. So we decided today to drop it. The creche gave him a couple of ounces of milk in his sippy cup instead. Apparently he drank about an ounce and a half and then had a snack as well.

He certainly didn’t seem to show any signs of having missed it. And he ate a great dinner for us this evening. Well I think he did! I’ve gone back to a mostly baby-led weaning approach in the evenings and he seems much happier for it. So this evening he ate a mini courgette, some apple slices, some broccoli, some stir fried beef, and then he fed himself a yogurt. I’m still amazed watching him use cutlery. He’s really getting good at spooning the yogurt out of the pot and feeding himself.

But it has to be said his favourite utensil of all is his fork. The determination with which he stabs his food is a sight to behold!
