Amazing wooden toys
I think I spoke too soon when I wrote yesterday about the non-existent selection of dolls houses aimed at boys and dolls houses in any colour other than pink. Earlier today I stumbled across a beautiful selection of wooden dolls houses by a company called KidKraft.
Now I have never seen these toys in real-life, so I’m just judging their quality by the photos on the website – but wow! I am blown away by them. These are the types of toys that make me wish I was a kid again.

Has anyone heard of this company before? Have you bought from them? Or from one of their resellers? Did the quality live up to the great photographs?
I found two sites offering them for sale – Woodentoys.ie, which seems a little pricey, but offers free shipping within Ireland. And Wooden Toys Direct, who seem to be a little cheaper, but once you take shipping into account, I think they work out more expensive for Irish customers. (And it’s a shame they categorize the toys by gender on the site, because I am pretty sure I would love these toys for a boy or a girl. Still you can’t have everything I suppose!)
Just seeing this post linked from today’s one Lisa- we have the spaceship, my parents gave it to the boys a couple of years ago. It’s pretty sturdy and they love it but oddly don’t play with it a huge amount.
I’d forgotten about these! I still love them. And I bet they’d last 30 years!
Not in this house Lisa, they’re not that sturdy, you’ve to self assemble (my sisters did). I’ll tweet you a pic tomorrow 🙂
