A crafty robot friend
I’m very impressed with Charlie and Little Man and their recent crafty creation. They decided to entertain themselves one wet afternoon by building a new robot friend from materials found in our recycling bin.
One tub lid, one Innocent smoothie bottle, two tube ends, four toilet rolls and some masking tape later they had a quirky little robot.
Later that day, Charlie decided to spray paint the robot creation a lovely bronze colour for the ultimate machine effect. I think the finished robot is great – and he’s certainly been a brilliant source of fun around here since.
That looks fab, how very creative of them!

Wasn’t it? Apparently I was wrong to think it’s finished though. They have great plans for painting it some more this weekend.
Looks great. Nice way to spend a wet afternoon.
Oh I love it!! Well done to the inventors!!!!
We’ve done similiar here from time to time but never thought of painting it. It looks fab in bronze.

Yeah, can’t believe how well it turned out.
Inspirational! I always think of some little thing out in the recycling bin we need to finish off little kiddie projects just after the recycling has been collected. You’ve made me want to keep a stash in the house.
We keep a stash under our craft table of interesting pieces and the old reliables like empty toilet rolls!
