A budding chef?

A budding chef?

Little Man is going through a fussy stage with food. So far this week, we’ve heard “I no like carrots”, “I no like meat”, “I no like dinner”… You get the picture. So I decided this evening to get him involved in making his dinner to see if it would get him excited about eating it. We made pizzas using some ready-made bases and sauce. Little Man spooned the sauce on top, and carefully placed the cheese, chicken, peppers and mushrooms. He was so proud of his creation! While it was cooking he kept running to the oven to check on it.

But did my plan work? Seems you can’t outwit a two year old as easily as that. One bite in and what do I hear? “I no like pizza.” Groan.

  1. He’s taking after a particular uncle with the “I no like carrots” anyway ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Maybe – but I don’t really believe him. Only a week or two ago he was saying “No robbing my carrots – I love my carrots”, so his tastes are obviously a bit changeable at the moment!

      • ย I bet I’d get away with robbing his dinner if I was around this week ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. ๐Ÿ™‚ Well at least he had fun. In a battle of wits (and wills) with a two year old, I’d put my money on the two year old every time. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Toddlers are mad. ย They don’t know what they’re missing half the time, I mean, c’mon dude, pizza!

  4. He doesn’t like pizza??? Wow…. My fella is the same though…SUCH a fussy eater. Except when chips are involved lol…and soup, randomly. I guess he can survive on chips and soup??

  5. Is he eating his carrots in the creche. You could try having your own dinner and see if he comes looking for his.
