Face painting

We’re invited to a Toddler Halloween Party on Monday, which we’re really looking forward to. I have Little Man’s costume all ready – although mine and Charlie’s will involve a last minute scramble tomorrow!

As a finishing touch for Little Man’s costume, I decided to paint his face. So I picked up some face paints earlier in the week and thought it would be a good idea to practice today.

Unfortunately Little Man didn’t seem to agree that face paints were such a good idea. I tried painting an all over colour on his face – a foundation if you will for my work of art! But he was not happy about it. So I tried painting my own face to show him why it was a good idea. Then I brought him over to the mirror to show him the colours on both our faces.

“Isn’t the colour nice on your face Little Man?” I asked him.

“No Mammy,” he replied seriously, “Filthy!”

That’s me told then I guess. Face paints are out this year. Shame!

  1. Aw, poor Little Man!  Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.  If you’re stuck for a costume I have 2 spares, Malice in Horrorland and a Zombie Schoolgirl.

    • I might just take you up on that offer Carol! Not much luck shopping today either! 🙂

      • No problem.  I have matching wigs too and a bottle of blood if necessary 🙂
